Sad about “Season” ending? No need to be! There are so many great upcoming local events to look forward to as we stretch into summer.
One of Southwest Florida’s most beloved events returns this year for the 24th year in a row—Taste of the Beach. Join our Fort Myers Beach dining and restaurant community on May 5, 2019 as we celebrate the local businesses that make us great (and keep us fed).
Explore the culinary village located just steps from our resort on San Carlos Boulevard, where attendees can enjoy tasty samples from local area restaurants surrounded by a lively and festive atmosphere including live music and games. Participating restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes and will all be competing for several awards. The award categories include Best Appetizer, Best Beef Entree, Best Seafood Entree, Best Chicken Entree, Best Dessert, Best Decorated Booth, and People’s Choice.
Our off-site restaurant Yucatan Beach Stand will be participating, don’t forget to stop by their booth and say hello (and even give them your vote!)
Gates will open at 11 a.m and will remain open until all of the food is gone or at 4 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and children over 12. Children under 12 are free. Food tickets will be $1.00 each, with a $5 average food serving price. This event is sponsored by The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce.
