November Events on Fort Myers Beach: The American Sand Sculpting Championship
Make plans to join us at our Fort Myers Beach resort this Fall, the American Sand Sculpting Championship returns next month! Celebrating 33 years on Fort Myers Beach, this annual event brings master sand sculptors and sculptresses to Southwest Florida to compete for several awards, and to bring their stunning art to the masses. For ten days in a row, World Class Master Sand Sculptors and amateur artists will compete for the opportunity to be crowned the American Champion. As the largest sand sculpting competition in the United States, there are a bounty of events for audiences to enjoy.
The 2019 event will host over 30 sculptors from 8 unique countries from around the world, including 16 Masters who will be competing in solo competitions, 10 Masters competing in the doubles competition and 10 new artists competing for the state championship.
In addition to audiences viewing the beautiful sand sculptures, the event plays host to a variety of activities that the entire family will enjoy. Over 40 local arts and crafts vendors will also be on-site with goods and souvenirs available for purchase. Other exciting events include the amateur sand competition, sculpting demos, and quick sand competitions, live music, kids activities, photo opportunities, people’s choice, and more!
This year, the event is introducing a brand-new experience, “Sand Under the Stars”. For just one night, view the stunning sand sculptures under the night sky from 6-9 p.m. on the last Saturday of the event. Tickets for this event are available for purchase at the gate for $10. For 2019, the VIP experience returns. VIP’s will receive complimentary food and beverage, event t-shirt, and access to a private sand lounge.
The American Sand Sculpting Championship will be held from November 22, 2019- December 1, 2019. A 1 day All Access Pass is $8. A Family Pass is available for $25 and includes 2 adults and 2 children aged 5-12. Kids 4 and under are free.
Free parking and shuttle service will be provided at the Lovers Key grass lot located at 8700 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931. Paid parking will also be available at businesses near the event and at the event site for $10 and up.
